Every member of our team is a valuable resource in this pursuit of excellence and we are currently seeking an Emotional Disabilities Paraprofessional at DeKalb High School!
What your day will look like:
Under supervision you will perform a variety of routine clerical and supportive activities for instructional personnel and other related work as required. This will include:
- As directed by the teacher work with an individual or small group of students who have mild/moderate emotional disabilities.
- Make effective use of instructional materials and demonstrate effective methods of instruction to ensure that the individual student performance levels needs and abilities are addressed.
- Exercise behavior management and maintain control of students assigned to your care.
- Collaborate with teachers and other paraprofessionals in the special education and general education classrooms.
- Perform other duties as requested by the teacher and/or building administration.
- This position will be 36.5 hours per week.
