Responsibilities
As our Cardiac Nurse at Mercy General Hospitalyoull care for patients who may have life-threatening cardiac events or conditions while helping their families navigate daily care and the long-term plan for healing and maintenance outside of the hospital.
Youll never have the same day twice as your patients needs evolve. Thats why you must be adaptable and detail-oriented observing vitals and reporting the warning signs early to our multidisciplinary team of cardiologists EKG techs and other cardiovascular professionals.

Position Summary:
- Managing acute and implantable mechanical circulatory devices.
- Continuous renal replacement therapy and caring for thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) and thoracoabdominal aneurysm repair (TAAA) patients with post-operative lumbar drains.
- You will be trained in direct recovery of the post open-heart patient.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current California RN License
- 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in Critical Care unit
- American Heart Association ACLS and BLS certifications
Preferred:
- Critical Care experience in a Cardiac acute care setting
