Job Description
Location: Chicago IL 60631
Duration: 12 Weeks Contract (with possible extension)
Type: Contract Night Shifts
Shift Timing: Night Shift Friday 7:00 PM to Monday 7:00 AM (includes every other RN ICU weekend & holiday)
Pay Breakdown:
Hourly Rate: $60.00 $15 taxable $45 non-taxable
OT Rate: $22.50
Weekly Gross: $2160.00 $540.00 taxable $1620.00 stipend
Were hiring an experienced RN ICU Travel Nurse for a high-acuity RN ICU unit in Chicago. This RN ICU role involves caring for fresh open heart post-op patients (CABG) neuro ICU cases and patients requiring CRRT. The RN ICU will work in a 30-bed ICU (SICU/MICU/Neuro ICU). RN ICU nurses will document using EPIC and are expected to float between units based on census.
RN ICU patient care for post-op CABG stroke CRRT and TNK cases
RN ICU management of Open Heart Neuro ICU and Critical Care patients
RN ICU documentation using EPIC EMR
RN ICU weekend and holiday rotation
RN ICU float policy based on low ICU census
RN ICU must make up sick calls on subsequent weekend if absent from Fri Mon
RN ICU with valid state license
BLS Required for RN ICU
ACLS Required for RN ICU
NIHSS Required for RN ICU Stroke-certified
EPIC EMR RN ICU proficiency required
Experience with DCI/BVP a plus for RN ICU
2 years of RN ICU experience
Proven skills in Open Heart RN ICU Neuro RN ICU and CRRT RN ICU
Strong background in MICU/SICU/Neuro ICU RN ICU settings
No RTO during holidays. RN ICU nurses calling out between Friday 7 PM Monday 7 AM must make up the shift the next weekend.
