The University of Miami Health System UHealth IT Department has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Epic Analyst Inpatient Orders.
The Epic Analyst Inpatient Orders initiates the implementation builds and modifies complex applications and collaborates with key stakeholders end-users and application team members to optimize the applications configuration function and access. The incumbent supports junior staff members in day-to-day operations and resolving application issues.
Core Responsibilities:
Collaborates with key stakeholders end-users and application team members to optimize the applications configuration function and access.
Serves as a primary support contact for application endusers.
Initiates the design development implementation and maintenance of the application.
Initiates all phases of testing and the documentation of workflow design.
Performs the analysis of information technology in clinical work processes and validates the impacts to the workflow.
Initiates the identification of issues and guides the work to resolve them.
Supports junior staff members in the evaluation and resolution of service tickets identification and implementation of application changes retrieval of requested data and execution of day-to-day operations.
Collaborates with trainers on application changes and new features to develop documentation and training strategies.
Works with stakeholders the business community and end users to ensure the application meets UHealths business/clinical needs.
Participates in on-call rotations and support and attend and participates in applicable committees.
Maintains regular communication with team members including participating in weekly project team meetings.
Reviews the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership.
Remains knowledgeable about UHealths policies procedures and business operations.
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
Department Specific Functions:
As an Epic Senior Analyst EpicCare Inpatient you will:
Serve as a primary support contact for application endusers

Initiate the identification of issues and guide the work to resolve them

Work with stakeholders business community and end users to ensure the application meets UHealths business/clinical needs
Adhere to internal controls and reporting structure
Participate in on-call rotations
Attend and participate in applicable committees
Maintain regular communication with team members including participating in weekly project team meetings
Review the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership
Become knowledgeable about UHealths policies procedures and business operations

CORE QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in relevant field
Epic ClinDoc Orders and ASAP Certifications required
Minimum of 5 years of experience preferably in healthcare or healthcare-related organization
At least 3 years of Epic build experience
Previous operational project management and organizational skills
Familiarity with clinical workflows preferred
Understanding of emergency department workflows and integration points especially regarding patient movement (ADT) and charging preferred
Microsoft Office Suite: Word PowerPoint Project Visio Excel
Problem Solving: Seeking logically examining and interpreting information from different sources to determine a problems cause and developing a course of action to resolve the problem and to prevent its recurrence
Dependability: Ability and willingness to take ownership of work activities and ensure that they are completed in an accurate efficient and timely manner
Critical Thinking: Ability and willingness to see things in an open-minded way and examine an idea or concept from as many angles as possible
Stakeholder Management: Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees including senior leadership
Update and maintain project; project tasks; service now Incidents records Universal Requests
Participate in yearly quarterly monthly one-on-one meetings as scheduled
Learn University of Miami change control processes and required documentation associated for change management
Review University of Miami policies and procedures for clinical support staff
Complete IT scheduled compliance trainings.
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
Ability to recognize analyze and solve a variety of problems.
Ability to lead motivate develop and train others.
Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office).
