Bridgewater College is seeking a dedicated and passionate Coordinator of Campus Enrichment and Belonging to join our Student Life team. This crucial role is instrumental in cultivating an accepting inclusive environment that fosters a strong sense of belonging for all students with a particular focus on enhancing the experience and retention of student populations most at risk for attrition.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director of New Student Experiences and Belonging the Coordinator serves as the primary contact for student programming with a specialized focus on creating a welcoming and equitable campus for every student. This role operates in both indoor and outdoor environments. While typical work hours may vary the Coordinator should have the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed to support college events and student programming. This is a medium work position involving the ability to lift no more than 50 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 20 pounds. Effective sensory demands including far vision near vision hearing and clear speech are required for successful communication and interaction.
Pay is competitive and salary is commensurate with experience. This full-time position offers a full benefits package including paid tuition at the College for eligible dependents.
GENERAL INFORMATION: Bridgewater College was founded in 1880 as a coeducational liberal arts college to serve the local community. Located in the scenic Shenandoah Valley just minutes outside of Harrisonburg and within driving distance of Charlottesville Washington D.C. and Richmond Bridgewater is home to a total student body of approximately 1450 from 27 states and 19 countries. Bridgewater students study more than 60 majors and minors in addition to four graduate programs and 10 pre-professional programs.
