Job Description
Areas of Responsibility:
- Lead and manage a grade 7 volleyball team comprised of approx. 30 student athletes.
- Coach home and away games.
- Teach fundamental skills and strategies related to the sport.
- Run effective daily practices.
- Cooperates and collaborates with other coaching staff toestablish and implement the shared program philosophy skills and techniques to be taught.
- Cooperates and communicatesrespectfully to parents.
- Supervise bus trips and locker room as well as behavior at away and home meets.
- Maintain sportsmanship and respect to other teams coaches bus drivers and community members.
- Coaches must keep an accurate record of equipment and uniforminventory.
- Follows district policies and procedures.
- Understands and follows rules and regulations set forth by all governing agencies: state association school district and league.
- Emphasize school spirit.
- Participates in training and other activities deemed mandatory by the district to improve coaching performance and enhance student health and safety.
- Attends athletic department meetings when required.
Qualifications Required:
- Coaching volleyball experience preferred
- Experience in k-12 setting preferred.
- Current First Aid Certification or the ability to get certified.
- Successful applicant will be fingerprinted and background checked.
- Ability to obtain Mini Bus Certification.
- Meet certification requirements.
