ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Works with campus staff to implement academic behavioral and social-emotional strategies and interventions which resultin positive student behavior.
- Effectively manages behavior of students assigned to the RESET program.
- Effectively manages time between the RESET classroom and checking on students in the general education setting whoare serviced through the RESET program.
- Follows Behavior Intervention Plans and academic and behavior IEPs for students in the RESET program.
- Implements all elements of the RESET program including academic and behavioral data collection monitoring and studentreinforcement.
- Participates in district-wide staff development and training in the areas of RESET and Special Education.
- Provides behavioral support to students served in the RESET program and maintains a collaborative relationship withgeneral education staff as well as the RESET teacher.
- Assists the teacher in maintaining portfolios that are data-driven for all students served through the RESET program.
- Utilizes the Review 360 program to chart and monitor RESET student behaviors.
- Maintains classroom logs and monitoring sheets as documentation of students served in the RESET classroom.
- Obtains and maintains current certification in CPI Nonviolent Crisis Prevention Institute.
- Demonstrates a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expecting the same of colleagues.
- Reliable; demonstrates the technical knowledge for effective handling of assignment; effectiveness inresponsibility; knowledge and understanding of school district policy practices and procedures.
- Uses good judgment self-regulation and the ability to work with challenging potentially escalated students in anempathetic and constructive way; stays current on trauma-informed practices.
- Is self-starting and self-demanding; works under the supervision of the RESET teacher; works toward self-improvement;continues to grow professionally.
- Demonstrates both a constructive and creative attitude toward the job; receives constructive criticism in a positiveway; works with students with emotional behavioral and academic difficulties; supports decisions and policies of supervisors.
- Requires additional training after hours for CPI and other professional development.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
