Join the Oak Program a behavioral change initiative for young people and:

  • help youth develop healthy relationship skills and interactions
  • provide case management counseling and group learning activities
  • teach respectful relationship behaviors
  • guide young people in avoiding abusive controlling and coercive behaviors
  • conduct safety assessments and planning for victim survivors of family violence
  • support parents/carers and partners of young people
  • contribute to creating safer healthier relationships for youth and their families

This is a part-time (15 hours per week ideally worked across 3 days) max term opportunity until 30 June 2026 based in Albany.



Skills And Experiences

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Diploma of Counselling or Community Services or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting individuals and families preferably in respect to family and domestic violence and/or trauma
  • Knowledge and experience in supporting parents with adolescents
  • Demonstrated experience in family violence safety assessment and planning
  • Experience working in culturally safe and responsive ways with clients from Aboriginal and other diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Knowledge of impact of Family and Domestic Violence on children
  • Knowledge of Best Practice Guidelines and Principles

The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year a WA Working with Children Card and a WA Drivers Licence.

  • Salary from $86950 per annum (pro rata) 12% superannuation
  • Salary packaging of up to $15900 (which equates to circa $4K after tax) plus additional salary packaging of up to $2650 for meal and entertainment expenses
