Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Assistant Excavation Engineer to join our depot based in Eccles Manchester. Youll work as part of a two-person team on a wide variety of groundwork and civil engineering projects across the region supporting the delivery of high-quality work in a safe and efficient manner.


  • Location: Eccles Manchester
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week with flexibility required.
  • Salary: 13 - 13.50 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with small to medium civil works
  • Support drainage-related repairs and maintenance
  • Participate in deep and shallow excavations
  • Help with pipework renewals and installations
  • Assist in reinstatement of surfaces (tarmac concrete paving etc.)
  • Perform general groundworks on commercial residential and industrial sites


Youll work across a variety of locations including rail road and utility sites so adaptability and awareness of different environments is key. Youll also be fully involved in our award-winning health and safety programme ensuring your work meets the highest standards.


About you:

  • Full Driving Licence (required)

  • NRSWA Streetworks
  • Machine ticket (excavator above/below 10t)
  • Confined space level 2 and above
  • Cat & Genny Location
  • Shoring
  • CSCS
  • Manual Handling
  • First Aid at Work
