The Lead Program Manager will be responsible for both NPI and current/future production. In this role you will lead the cross-functional team to manage and deliver on all New Product Introduction (NPI) and Production programs which may include and is not limited to SiC GaN and Modules within the terms and conditions of contracts and internal business cases.

You will be responsible for production and NPI contracts functioning as a liaison between the business and technical sides of GE Aerospace requiring etiquette in customer service internal GE communication aftermarket repair disputes and conflict resolution. This role will encompass responsibilities across multiple programs within the Long Island and Pompano Beach product portfolio including both current initiatives and/or new NPI and Production programs.

Powering two thirds of all U.S. military aircraft with more than 25000 engines in our installed base Defense & Systems is uniquely positioned to work closely with and support the Defense sector providing reliable high performance sustainable innovative military engines systems and services.

Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for contract performance related activities tied to customers or programs
  • Perform as interface between the internal business team and technical team managing the transfer of information and requests
  • Develop scope of work and plan schedule of engineering activities
  • Assure timely resolution of issues keep the GE team advised of the progress of the program and negotiate changes variations solutions to issues
  • Responsible for adherence to contract service operations and performance specifications as well as financial & technical metrics specific to contract
  • Will support proposal and negotiations
  • Lead program planning including scope definition resource allocation and timeline development
  • Ensure all program activities comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor program performance and progress addressing risks and implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Collaborate with engineering manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure quality and timely delivery of program deliverables
  • Manage budgets and financial performance optimizing cost efficiency without compromising quality
  • Communicate program updates to stakeholders including senior leadership customers and team members
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage the ordering of and scheduling of parts acquisition

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Power Electronics Engineering Project Management or related field from an accredited university from accredited college/university
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Engineering Program/Project Management role

Additional Information

  • This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens. GE will require proof of status.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Product development experience utilizing Silicon Carbide or Gallium Nitride MOSFETS
  • Military or Commercial Aviation product experience
  • Proven experience in program management within the aerospace or related industry
  • Strong leadership communication and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with lean principles such as Kaizen and Standard Work
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Ability to document plan market and execute programs
  • Established project management skills including proficiency in Microsoft Project/Excel.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
