Job Description
As a Software R&D Specialist reporting directly to the R&D Software Manager you will contribute to the upgrades development and new configurations of the software side of our CrossBelt Sorter system (HC LOOP). You will act as a key reference for software evolution support system implementations and collaborate closely with the Engineering and Sales divisions to analyze quote and deliver special requests for various installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-level software (PLC Siemens / Rockwell) for FORTNAs core products (HC LOOP).
- Analyze system specifications and propose solutions for software automation issues including managing external/internal suppliers and collaborators.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Configure and manage industrial devices such as PLCs HMIs SCADA systems remote I/Os inverters servo drives encoders sensors etc.
- Organize manage and produce documentation related to the software developed for our systems.
- Work closely with other technical departments to analyze plant projects and address any critical aspects.
- Organize supervise and if needed perform internal validation testing.
- Collaborate on the drafting of technical and commercial documentation.
Requirements
Hard Skills
- Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Advanced knowledge of structured PLC programming languages (Siemens / Rockwell).
- Proficient in Safety PLC programming and Profisafe protocol.
- Solid understanding of industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet and Profinet.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams.
- Good command of English both spoken and written.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Teamwork-oriented with a proactive attitude.
