Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and coordination for theSPEAC (Sexual violence Prevention Education Ambassadors of Calvin)team including weekly meetings and planning programming training and events.
  • Collaborate with theSafer Spaces teamto understand and communicate student rights resources and reporting options.
  • Provide support and guidance to students who have experienceddomestic/dating violence sexual assault or stalking connecting them with resources on- and off-campus. (Note: this position would be a mandated reporter for student disclosures of sexual assault).
  • Participate in theCoordinated Community Response Team (CCRT)to support campus-wide prevention and response efforts.
  • Assist withadditional Residence Life office responsibilitiesas assigned including on-call coverage for crisis care and response and other special projects assigned by the Directors of Residence Life.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in a graduate program insocial work counseling psychology or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to student support advocacy and community engagement.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Responsible for supervising the work of the SPEAC team including recruiting members leading weekly or bi-weekly meetings assisting with program preparation and financial details etc.
