JOB TITLE: Concessions Attendant

DEPARTMENT: Community Services

NUMBER OF POSITIONS: 2

JOB STATUS & DURATION: Part-time seasonal and temporary

HOURS OF WORK: 24 variable hours / flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays is required

LOCATION: Flower City Community Campus - BOB CALLAHAN SENIORS REC CTR

HOURLY RATE: $17.20

POSTING DATE: July 14 2025

CLOSING DATE: July 18 2025

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Responsible for professionally preparing and serving refreshments while providing excellent customer service. This position reports to: Recreation Programmer/Community Programs Coordinator/ Recreation Supervisor.

  • Responsible for the preparation and serving of food and drinks
  • Follow operating and food preparation standards
  • Responsible for opening and closing procedures as scheduled
  • Provide a high level of front line customer service including greeting and engaging customers in product selection
  • Clean equipment and keep concessions area safe and tidy
  • Complete administrative duties in a timely manner (eg. verify float record spoilage revenue documentation opening and closing procedures)
  • Anticipate volume and prepare food/stock to meet demand
  • Check and replace stock and complete inventory counts
  • Report all concerns accidents and incidents to immediate supervisor for follow up and take appropriate action
  • Maintain complete vigilance while on duty and be ready to respond to any emergency situation
  • Utilize POS system to complete sales transactions and end of shift report
  • Understand adhere to and enforce Corporate Policies & Procedures Confidentiality Guidelines Emergency Procedures and Health and Safety Standards for all participants and staff
  • Attend meetings/training as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned

SELECTION CRITERIA:

  • Minimum 15 years of age
  • Current Standard First Aid / CPR C from an accredited organization or ability to obtain within 1 month of date of hire
  • Food Handlers Certification or ability to obtain within 1 month of date of hire Courteous and personable
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills

**Preference will be given to students that have a permanent residency in Brampton.

**Various tests and/or exams may be administered as part of the selection criteria.
