VicRoads is progressing too. In August 2022 we started on a new chapter when the Victorian State Government partnered with Aware Super Australian Retirement Trust and Macquarie Asset Management to operate registration and licensing services on its behalf.
We work collaboratively with the Victorian State Government to ensure we fulfill regulatory requirements deliver State projects and safeguard customer data. The Victorian State Government retains sole responsibility for road access infrastructure and safety.
Annual Salary Range: Up to $245000 Super

We are seeking a talented and driven individual to join our dynamic Technology team. As a team member you will play a pivotal role in working with both our business and engineering teams to transform our digital platform services and future direction. You will work alongside a group of passionate professionals who are dedicated to delivering innovative solutions that exceed customer expectations.
The Strategy and Architecture team develop and implement technology strategy capability roadmap and investment plans to drive high performance and improved commercial outcomes for VicRoads.
About the Opportunity
The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for proactively and holistically leading enterprise responses to disruptive forces by identifying and analysing the execution of change toward the desired business vision and targeted outcomes.
This role plays a pivotal role in shaping and enabling VicRoads digital transformation. This role is part of the Strategy and Architecture function working closely with cross-functional engineering operations and delivery teams to ensure architecture is actionable collaborative and aligned with agile ways of working. The architect will lead domain-specific initiatives focusing on areas including modern business product digitisation re-use and loosely coupled architecture approaches supporting the engineering function as they mature CI/CD processes and ensuring that architecture is defining and driving future-state digital workflows channels and related capabilities are central to your role and the future of our products
- Professional & Technical deep experience across multiple architecture domains including business solution and technical architecture with a strong background in strategic planning and business analysis in complex environments. The role will deliver enterprise architecture in agile settings working closely with product teams domain and solution architects engineering and DevSecOps teams. Expertise spans digital transformation AWS enterprise environments CI/CD IaC and modern digital architectures such as microservices loosely coupled systems CX and channels.
- Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Demonstrated sound judgment and organisational acumen in applying ICT sourcing policies procedures and processes to drive continuous improvement in sourcing procurement and compliance outcomes. Balances long-term strategic considerations with the immediate impact of individual decisions.
- Leadership and Management Provide effective leadership and management across teams and initiatives ensuring alignment with strategic objectives while fostering collaboration accountability high performance and be a mentor and leader to the architecture and engineering communities
- Stakeholder Engagement Build and maintain strong effective partnerships with all levels of management and a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
About you
You bring deep expertise across at least three core areasranging from business information solution or technical architecture to application development middleware data analysis database management or multitiered operations. You have a proven track record in strategic and operational planning particularly within the public sector or similarly complex environments.
Your enterprise architecture knowledge is comprehensive and youre experienced in delivering its components within agile delivery settings working closely with engineering and DevSecOps teams. You have significant domain experience across digital transformation enterprise-scale AWS environments and services and have delivered CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) processes. You also bring a solid understanding of modern digital architecture including microservices loosely coupled systems customer experience (CX) and digital channels.
