Job Description

MRI Technologist
Department: Radiology
Location: Insert Facility Location
Organization: Athena Medtech

Schedule:

  • Three 12-hour shifts per week (Monday to Friday)

  • Hours: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM

  • Total: 36 hours per week

Position Summary:
Athena Medtech is seeking a skilled and experienced MRI Technologist to join our Radiology department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnostic imaging a commitment to patient care and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist

  • Previous experience as a travel MRI Tech is a plus

  • Current ARRT (MR) certification (if applicable)

  • BLS certification required

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proficiency with PACS and other radiology software systems

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and position patients accurately for MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols

  • Select appropriate imaging parameters to ensure high-quality diagnostic images

  • Conduct thorough patient pre-screening scheduling and education

  • Monitor patient condition during scanning procedures and respond to any concerns

  • Accurately enter and manage patient data; ensure timely transfer of images and documentation to PACS

  • Follow all safety protocols including MRI safety and radiation protection procedures

  • Perform quality checks on images and maintain proper documentation

  • Report equipment malfunctions and assist in maintaining a clean safe and organized department environment
