Job Description
MRI Technologist
Department: Radiology
Location: Insert Facility Location
Organization: Athena Medtech
Schedule:
-
Three 12-hour shifts per week (Monday to Friday)
-
Hours: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM
-
Total: 36 hours per week
Position Summary:
Athena Medtech is seeking a skilled and experienced MRI Technologist to join our Radiology department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnostic imaging a commitment to patient care and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Qualifications:
-
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist
-
Previous experience as a travel MRI Tech is a plus
-
Current ARRT (MR) certification (if applicable)
-
BLS certification required
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
-
Proficiency with PACS and other radiology software systems
Key Responsibilities:
-
Prepare and position patients accurately for MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols
-
Select appropriate imaging parameters to ensure high-quality diagnostic images

Conduct thorough patient pre-screening scheduling and education
-
Monitor patient condition during scanning procedures and respond to any concerns

Accurately enter and manage patient data; ensure timely transfer of images and documentation to PACS
-
Follow all safety protocols including MRI safety and radiation protection procedures

Perform quality checks on images and maintain proper documentation

Report equipment malfunctions and assist in maintaining a clean safe and organized department environment
