Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Management
Manage day-to-day accounting activities including ledger entries reconciliations and cash flow.
Prepare financial statements balance sheets profit & loss accounts and MIS reports.
Monitor accounts payable and receivable ensuring timely payments and collections.
Taxation & Compliance
Handle GST TDS Income Tax filings and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
Maintain accurate records in line with jewelry industry regulations (e.g. BIS standards hallmarking norms).
Liaise with auditors for annual audits and other financial inspections.
Inventory & Cost Control
Coordinate with inventory teams to reconcile stock levels and ensure accurate valuation of gold diamonds and precious stones.
Implement internal controls to minimize pilferage and loss.
Team Management
Supervise junior accountants and train staff on financial processes and compliance requirements.
Coordinate with sales purchase and operations departments for seamless financial management.
Requirements
Bachelor s/Master s degree in Commerce Accounting or Finance (CA/ICWA preferred).
5 years of experience in accounting preferably in jewellery or retail industry.
Familiarity with banking processes related to gold loans bullion purchases and export-import documentation (if applicable).
