Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Production Management
Supervise daily jewellery production processes including casting polishing stone setting and finishing.
Allocate tasks to artisans goldsmiths and workers based on skill sets and production requirements.
Monitor production schedules to ensure timely completion of orders.
Quality Control
Inspect work-in-progress and finished jewelry pieces to maintain high-quality standards.
Ensure adherence to design specifications purity and hallmarking standards.
Inventory & Material Management
Coordinate with the inventory team for raw materials (gold diamonds gemstones) and consumables.
Maintain accurate records of material issuance and usage to minimize wastage and pilferage.
Workforce Supervision
Train and guide artisans and workers to enhance productivity and quality.
Ensure compliance with workplace safety hygiene and ethical practices.
Process Improvement
Identify bottlenecks in production and suggest process improvements.
Collaborate with the design and CAD teams to resolve production challenges.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of jewelry manufacturing techniques and processes.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Attention to detail and a keen eye for design and quality.
Knowledge of hallmarking purity testing and jewelry industry standards.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple orders simultaneously.
Requirements
Diploma/Degree in Jewelry Design Manufacturing or a related field.
3 6 years of experience in jewelry production supervision or a similar role.
Hands-on experience with gold diamond and/or gemstone jewelry manufacturing preferred.
