A well-known engineering organization is seeking to hire a Billing Analyst. Looking for a candidate who has 5 years of billing experience and has a background working in construction or a similar industry. Additionally need someone who is advanced in Excel and has used Deltek or a similar ERP!
Duties
- Prepare and issue invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Conduct thorough account analysis to identify billing discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain accounts receivable records ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Perform data entry tasks related to billing payments and adjustments.
- Assist in the preparation of journal entries related to billing activities.
- Collaborate with the corporate accounting team to ensure compliance with SOX regulations.
- Utilize Sage software for billing processes and reporting.
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when communicating with clients regarding billing inquiries.
- Conduct credit analysis for new accounts and monitor existing accounts for payment trends.
- Support telemarketing efforts as needed to enhance client relationships
Requirements
- Proven experience in accounts receivable or corporate accounting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of billing processes and financial principles.
- Proficiency in Sage or similar accounting software is highly desirable.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills for client interactions.
- Ability to perform detailed account analysis and resolve discrepancies effectively.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance standards is a plus.
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills.
Bachelor s degree in accounting required 1-2 years of experience in corporate accounting Experience with ERP systems such as QuickBooks or Deltek Knowledgeable in accounting principles (US GAAP) Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to identify problems and discrepancies, independently perform research and analysis of causes, and recommend corrective actions Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel (pivot tables), Word and Powerpoint A mindful, accountable, ethical, responsible, respectful, and collaborative approach to work Eager to learn new systems, processes, and accounting for a growth company.
