Job Description
Were literally the nuts and bolts of NZs engineering building marine and dairy sectors. As a Quality Control Officer youll be responsible for ensuring the quality of our fasteners and hardware. Were after someone whos either a recent graduate or has practical experience in a trade fasteners or a similar industry.
What will you do each day
- Conduct regular inspections and tests on raw materials in-process goods and finished products to identify any defects deviations or non-conformities.
- Analyze quality control data generate reports and provide recommendations for process improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency.
- Manage the PMI (Positive Material Identification) testing programme and maintain our X-Ray Spectrometer including regular calibration and servicing
- Outsource and manage any additional QC testing required (E.g. Tensile)
- Be the first point of call for any quality or faulty stock issues
- Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Have fun while working as part of a friendly team
Were after someone who is:
- Strong with numbers data and Excel
- Has a basic understanding of stainless steel chemistry grades and behaviour in various applications or keen to learn
- Able to read and report on product specifications and test reports
- Detail-oriented organised and reliable
- A good problem solver with a practical mindset
- A trade background in building construction or industrial is ideal but not essential
- Respectful with great communication skills who strives for excellence
