Job Summary:

The Manager Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) plays a key role within the Canadian affiliate blending strategic insights with hands-on financial management. Reporting directly to the Planning Controller this position helps steer strategic financial planning and detailed operational activities. A versatile skill set is required to drive financial success through effective plan execution improved operational efficiencies and accurate financial analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in developing and executing comprehensive financial planning cycles including Plans Updates LBEs and LRP.
    • Support strategic initiatives by delivering detailed financial analyses presenting insights and identifying opportunities for improvement.
    • Manage daily FP&A operations ensuring accurate timely financial reporting and deliverables.
    • Prepare and deliver precise financial reports and dashboards that enable informed decision-making by senior leaders.
    • Conduct variance analysis offering actionable insights to bolster financial operations.
    • Develop and implement metrics that align with strategic goals to improve operational efficiency.
    • Collaborate on finance transformation projects to implement best practices in financial systems.
    • Serve as a trusted financial advisor building strong working relationships with stakeholders.
    • Coach and mentor FP&A Senior Analysts fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
    • Support the Planning Controller with strategic and operational responsibilities acting as a critical partner.
    • Conduct ad hoc analyses and participate in special projects supporting the Planning Controller and senior leadership.
    • This position will have a Financial Analyst reporting to them

Qualifications :

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Professional designation preferred (CA CGA CMA or MBA).
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software ERP systems (e.g. SAP BPC) and Microsoft Excel; proficiency in Power BI is an asset.
  • Experience in the bio-pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is preferred.
  • Proven ability to work with senior leadership and communicate complex financial insights effectively.
  • Experience leading or mentoring teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

This role requires a 3 days in office (minimum) presence our offices are based in Ville Saint-Laurent Montreal.
