Job Description
Position: Sr. Bio-Security Specialist
Position Summary:
XWELL is a leader in promoting health and wellness for airport travelers boasting two decades of dedicated service and ongoing expansion. As a prominent travel health and wellness brand we are revolutionizing the approach to well-being in the bustling airport environment. Our commitment is unwavering and our XpresTest team plays a pivotal role by partnering with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Our collaborative efforts extend beyond COVID-19 variant detection encompassing the comprehensive detection and sequencing of 30 different pathogens that could potentially be introduced into the U.S. by international travelers. In the capacity of a Sr. Bio-Security Specialist your role will involve engaging with international travelers urging them to voluntarily provide swabs. This voluntary contribution significantly aids the CDC in tracking variants and understanding the presence of various pathogens.
Responsibilities:
- Collecting Samples:
Greet passengers with a warm and welcoming demeanor creating a positive first impression.
Maintain a professional and ethical approach in all interactions with the traveling public.
Collect samples of flight wastewater to identify and analyze pathogens.
2. Team Collaboration
Collaborate with management and other staff to create a cohesive and positive work environment.
Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and stay informed about CDC updates.
3. Compliance:
Adhere to all regulations and polices related to station operations.
Maintain confidentiality regarding participants information.
Adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation standards including proper cleaning and sanitization.
Follow XWELL policies and procedures related to health and safety.
4. Facility Maintenance:
Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the station area.
Report any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
5. Operational Support
Partner with management on operational issues.
In the absence of the manager handle station operations.
Handle badging needs as an authorized signatory.
Required Qualifications:
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays to accommodate the varying schedules of airport travelers.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
