Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Qualifications:- Masters degree preferred.
- Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.
- Commitment to remain current in content knowledge and state and federal regulations.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and in conformity with state licensure requirements.
Reports To: Assistant Superintendent of Pupil Personnel Services
Performance Responsibilities:- Development of behavior plans. This includes assessing each student collecting data writing the plan in conjunction with teachers and school psychologists and evaluating the effectiveness of the plan.
- Development of program books in conjunction with special education staff and classroom teachers.
- Responsible for maintaining and implementing behavioral strategies for students as identified by building principals or IEP teams.
- Responsible for maintaining methods of data collection and analysis of data.
- Responsible for writing summer progress reports in cooperation with teachers and other special education staff.
- Provide supervision of home trainers.
- Provide consultation to parents teachers paraprofessionals and home service providers.
- Understanding of the characteristics of a wide range of intellectual disabilities as well as disorders such as autism spectrum disorders and traumatic brain injury.
