Job Description
Job Title: Intake Therapist - Adult Behavioral Health
Location: Southgate MI
Salary:
- Fully Licensed: $28.90-$38.89/hour
- Limited License: $26.68-$35.91/hour
Shift: Monday-Friday 8:30 AM-5:00 PM (Some evenings/weekends required)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate Intake Therapist to conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for adults adolescents and children. This requires strong engagement and assessment skills to help individuals access appropriate behavioral health services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct intake assessments and complete documentation within 48 hours
- Use motivational interviewing to assess needs and preferences
- Provide accurate information about services and initiate treatment planning
- Develop safety plans and coordinate referrals as needed
- Participate in team meetings clinical supervision and audits
- Maintain productivity standards and complete required training
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work Psychology or Counseling
- Active State of Michigan licensure (LMSW LLMSW LPC LLPC etc.)
- Minimum 1 year of post-masters experience with adults with severe mental illness
- CAADC credential or MCBAP Development Plan within 6 weeks of hire
- Must obtain QMHP and QIDP credentials within 120 days of hire
- Strong interpersonal documentation and organizational skills
- Cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse populations
