Role Overview
Join a close-knit and collaborative legal team in the energy and logistics sectors where building trust and strong working relationships are at the heart of the culture. In this role youll provide legal support across business units ensuring compliance managing risk and driving contract negotiations throughout the APAC region.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with commercial teams and the global tender unit to draft review and negotiate tenders and commercial agreements.
- Develop and manage contract templates and terms and conditions tailored to industry operations.
- Provide legal guidance in customer negotiations balancing commercial interests with legal risk.
- Advise on risk mitigation strategies and ensure alignment with internal policies and mandates.
- Manage legal disputes coordinate with external counsel and represent the company in proceedings before courts agencies and authorities.
- Serve as a trusted advisor across a range of legal issuesfrom quick consultations to complex long-term projects.
- Support mergers & acquisitions and expansion into new global markets ensuring compliance with local and international legal frameworks including arbitration regulations.
- Work closely with compliance teams to ensure consistent application of group policies.
Your Profile
- Legally qualified professional (with or without bar admission) with experience in contract negotiation administration and legal advisoryeither in-house or in private practice.
- Solid grasp of contract law and legal frameworks in the APAC region along with a strong appreciation for corporate governance and company secretarial functions.
- 35 years of post-qualification legal experience preferably within shipping energy (oil & gas or renewables) or large-scale industrial projects.
- Knowledge of English/common law systems and arbitration laws in APAC jurisdictions is an advantage.
- Experience in shipping offshore or energy-related industries is particularly beneficial.
