About the Role:
As a Senior Sushi Sous Chef you will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily sushi operations mentoring junior staff and ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation. You will collaborate closely with the Head Chef to innovate and elevate our menu delivering unforgettable dining experiences to our guests.
- Lead and supervise the sushi kitchen team to maintain consistency and exceptional quality.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of all sushi and Japanese dishes.
- Develop new recipes and menu ideas in collaboration with the culinary leadership.
- Ensure strict adherence to hygiene safety and food quality standards.
- Train and mentor junior chefs fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Manage inventory suppliers and cost controls effectively.
- Support the overall operational efficiency of the kitchen.
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or Sous Chef specializing in Japanese cuisine with at least 5 years in a high-end or reputable restaurant.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Deep understanding of sushi techniques ingredients and presentation.
