Steam Cleaner Operator/Technician Fortis Native Group is interviewing for a part-time Steam Cleaner Operator/Technician for a contract with the Federal Government on the Lemoore Naval Air Station. The Technician be responsible for using the steam and other equipment to clean various assets on the Air Station. Anticipated schedule will be flexible approximately 20 hpw week during normal business hours. Job Duties and Responsibilities May Include: - May tend one or more portable generators used to generate steam for steam-cleaning exposed surfaces of various assets: Connects hose line and electric leads to source of water supply and electric power.
- Remove debris as needed using hand tools or vacuum equipment.
- Ensure equipment is operated in a safe manner.
- Mitigate any leaks or spills promptly.
- Use hand or power tools to clean assets as needed.
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively with both oral and written skills
- Must be able to work within a team environment
- Two years of using powered cleaning equipment.
- Ability to read write and speak the English language
- Understanding of general site safety standards
- Ability to pass a background check drug test and security check for access to federal facilities
Wage: - $17.87 an hour plus
- $4.93 an hour - Health and Welfare benefit allowance (up to 40 hours a week) effective pay rate $22.80
