The Arizona Department of Corrections Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is looking for an experienced Administrative Assistant whos a great communicator with an amazing attitude. This position researches responds communicates documents and coordinates complex administrative issues and projects at the request of the Deputy Warden / Associate Deputy Warden / Administrator. Compiles prepares and reviews weekly and monthly reports. Tracks complaints and disciplinary issues. Also manages the unit budget and ordering of supplies.
- Researches and compiles reports letters inquiries and policy updates
- Updates Publication Announcements on the unit
- Manages unit budget to include purchasing supplies and tracking expenditures
- Maintains administrator calendar and scheduling
- Coordinates special events fundraisers meetings and employee recognition
- Conducts the Capital Equipment Inventory
- Supervises subordinate staff
- Tracks disciplinary actions and preparation of final outcome documents
- Researches and responds to inquiries
- Drives on State business
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment
Knowledge of:
- Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) personnel rules and agency policies and procedures

Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation and a drug test.
If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current valid class-appropriate drivers license complete all required training and successfully pass all necessary drivers license record checks. The license must be current unexpired and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to drivers license record checks must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R.11).
In an effort to maintain a safe environment all employees are required to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter.

Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS). Enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment.
