Responsibilities:

Position Summary

The Product Engineering and Sustainability Support role is essential in ensuring the technical integrity and environmental compliance of products. This position bridges engineering quality and sustainability with a focus on aligning production processes with international regulations and internal standards. The ideal candidate will proactively support documentation process mapping and regulatory compliance particularly for products exported to the U.S. and Europe market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Map and analyze production processes to ensure alignment with Bills of Materials (BoMs) collaborating closely with production and engineering teams.
  • Support the Quality Certification and Technical Office in preparing sustainability documentation especially for compliance with U.S. regulations (e.g. Lacey Act EUTR EUDR).
  • Act as the operational point of contact for sustainability-related regulations ensuring timely and accurate communication across departments.
  • Identify and propose process improvements by analyzing technical and sustainability challenges from a systemic perspective.
  • Apply quality management tools (e.g. ISO 9001 PDCA Ishikawa diagram) to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate actively in daily FMDS (Floor Management Development System) meetings ensuring accurate data collection and timely reporting.

Skill and competences required:

  • Degree in Engineering Environmental Science Industrial Design or a related technical field.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability regulations (EUDR EUTR Lacey Act) and their application in the furniture industry.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and quality management methodologies.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and propose actionable solutions.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with a proactive and collaborative approach.
  • Proficiency in technical documentation and process mapping tools.
  • A good knowledge of English both written and spoken is a plus.
