About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulousSenior Manual QA Testing Engineerto join our growing QA team. As a senior member you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our web applications through comprehensive manual testing practices. Youll collaborate closely with cross-functional teamsincluding developers product managers and automation engineersin a fast-paced Agile environment to identify and resolve issues early in the development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design author and maintain comprehensive test cases test plans and test scenarios based on functional requirements user stories and technical specifications.
- Execute manual test cases for functional regression UI smoke and exploratory testing of web applications.
- Collaborate with developers product managers and automation teams to validate new features and ensure test coverage.
- Analyze test results and document defects clearly using bug tracking tools such as Jira.
- Perform root cause analysis and work with developers to triage and verify fixes.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily standups sprint planning retrospectives) and contribute to continuous testing improvement.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior QA team members when needed.
- Ensure thorough documentation of testing artifacts and contribute to knowledge base creation
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5 years of experience in manual web application testing.
- Strong understanding of SDLC STLC testing methodologies and QA best practices.
- Experience with writing and executing test plans test cases and test reports.
- Solid knowledge of web technologies (HTML CSS JavaScript HTTP) and browser developer tools.
- Hands-on experience with test management tools such as TestRail Zephyr or similar.
- Proficiency in using bug tracking systems like Jira.
- Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or SOAP UI.
- Strong analytical communication and troubleshooting skills.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for quality.
