About the Role
Service Streams Telecommunications Division are currently seeking a Designer to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for using your expert knowledge on current NBN design guidelines across multiple architecture types to support the leadership team design and the project team at large.
Location: Flexible Melbourne/ Brisbane / Sydney
Reports to: Design Team Lead
Basis: Permanent full-time
Key Responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for some of the following:
- Use of Service Stream 3rd Party and Client Design Tools and Programs to create order stage specific deliverables reflecting the standards and requirements of Service Stream and the Client.
- Quality assurance assessment of Service Stream 3rd party and Client supplied deliverables.
- Liaising with Service Stream 3rd Party and Client parties to contribute to design solutions.
- Providing technical guidance to ensure delivery of cost and quality optimised solution.
- Provide Technical troubleshooting to aid resolution of onsite queries.
- Communication with relevant stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered in a timely manner.
- Administrative work such as updating trackers and other applications.
- Delivery of work to the required quality level within determined SLAs.
Skills and Experience
- Optic Fibre and Ethernet design.
- Experience in the NBNco On Demand Module programs of work.
- Good understanding of planning design and construction process of NBNco Projects .
- Good understanding of NBNco design specifications and requirements.
- Telecommunications design experience.
- Experience working in AutoCAD/SpatialNET (PNI) and MapInfo/QGIS
- Preferred experience in running GMLs and Reserving network via ADR
- Ability to resolve/troubleshoot complex design and construction queries
- Experience in NBN Design including FTTX FTTN HFC and MDU
