ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Performs all duties within job scope in accordance with standards or care policies & procedures and regulatory guidelines. Performs select clinical procedures within delegated parameters.
2. Collaborates with all members of the health care team and physician offices to promote a seamless patient care continuum. Facilitates prompt efficient patient services through organizing prioritizing and performing clerical activities.
3. Prepares and maintains patient records according to standards / policy. Transcribes orders using the appropriate department forms and hospital abbreviations in an accurate and legible manner.
4. Operates equipment necessary to perform job duties.
5. Demonstrates good phone etiquette perceived as helpful / friendly to all customers. Fields phone inquiries appropriately. Displays professionalism at all times and maintains patient confidentiality.
6. Orders supplies and maintains inventory and par-levels assigned.
7. Compiles statistical information for monthly quarterly and annual reports and surveys as assigned.
8. Performs other job duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Personal Protective Equipment: Demonstrates knowledge and use of standard precautions and PPE (gown gloves mask)
Physical Demands: Must be able to carry up to 10 lbs with occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. Occasionally lifts positions pushes and/or transfers patients. Considerable reaching stooping bending kneeling and crouching. Must be able to see hear and move intermittently or use prosthetics that will enable you to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met. Regularly exposes to infection and contagious disease. Possible exposure to blood borne pathogens from blood and/or bodily fluids. May be exposed to odorous or hazardous specimens.
