Job Description

Brockton Public Schools is looking for a Grade 1 Sheltered English Immersion Launch Teacher at Brookfield Elementary School. Demonstrated cultural competence and ability to work with students from diverse backgroundsOpen and prepared to support newcomer students with early English language proficiency. Excellent communication skills with students colleagues and parents Ability to collect and interpret data for instructional purposes Excellent organizational skills Ability to meet deadlines Familiarity with WIDA and CCSS Standards Provide elementary school multilingual learners in self-contained setting with content and language learning Develop and implement Sheltered Instruction lesson plans aligned to student proficiency levels and grade level standards Participate in professional development trainings and collaborate with the assigned English language acquisition coach
