Job Description

The School District of Clayton is seeking an Educational Data Administrative Assistant. The Educational Data Strategist ensures accurate timely and compliant submission of student staff and district data to meet all local state and federal reporting requirements. This role involves cross-departmental collaboration extensive use of student information systems (SIS) and data validation to support district accountability funding and program compliance.

The Successful Candidate will have strong skills in reporting and compliance data management and quality assurance collaboration and training system support and integration.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare review and submit required reports (e.g. MOSIS/Core Data CRDC Civil Rights EOC ADA Perkins ESSA etc.) to state and federal agencies in accordance with prescribed timelines and formats.
  • Monitor reporting deadlines and proactively communicate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely data availability.
  • Stay current with changing regulations and guidance from DESE (or the appropriate agency) and federal authorities.

Data Management & Quality Assurance

  • Manage the extraction transformation and validation of data from the SIS (e.g. PowerSchool) and other district systems.
  • Develop and execute data audits to ensure accuracy completeness and integrity.
  • Identify and correct errors discrepancies and anomalies in student and staff data before submission.

Collaboration & Training

  • Collaborate with departments such as Human Resources Special Education Finance and Curriculum to gather required data and resolve inconsistencies.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the district and state/federal agencies for reporting matters.
  • Provide training and guidance to school and department staff on data entry standards and reporting processes.

System Support & Integration

  • Work with IT staff to manage data integration processes between PowerSchool and third-party platforms (e.g. special education systems HR systems assessment platforms).
  • Participate in system upgrades testing and configuration related to reporting needs.
  • Create documentation for data procedures and reporting protocols.

Education and Experience:Three or more years of experience in state/federal educational data reporting or student information systems (required).Prior experience with PowerSchool Infinite Campus or similar SIS (preferred)

Compensation:Highly competitivesalary Grade H

Range: 55000-65000

Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Work Calendar: 260-daycalendar Hybrid schedule
