Multiple casual shifts as Examination Supervisors at $39.43 per hour (including casual loading) plus super.
Based at our St Lucia and/or Gatton Campus
Current coursework students at UQ or any other institution are not eligible to apply for these roles. Higher Degree Research students are eligible to apply.
Hours of work are based on a rostered shift allocation Monday to Saturday subject to University requirements.
We are currently accepting expressions of interest for this position. Supervisors will only be contacted if the need to recruit arises.
You will play a key role to ensure all students have the opportunity to sit examinations under optimal conditions according to University assessment and examination policies and procedures.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to
Supervise student seating arrangements and assist with student direction and seating allocation.
Verify student identification and manage examination materials including attendance forms and question papers.
Monitor student behaviour and address inquiries during examinations ensuring compliance with examination regulations.
Perform miscellaneous duties as instructed by the Chief Supervisor or Senior Administrative Officers Examinations.
Standing and walking for prolonged periods of time climbing stairs and lifting items of up to 5 kgs.
Supervisors are required for the following exam periods:
Physical fitness and mental agility to maintain exam support duties while standing or walking for extended periods.
Adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a dynamic exam environment.
Strong team player with a commitment to reliability.
Proficiency in technology and computer literacy including email communication basic AV equipment operation and online form completion.
Effective communication skills to interact professionally with students from diverse backgrounds including those with disabilities.
You are not eligible for this role if you are a current coursework student at UQ or any other institution. Higher Degree Research students are eligible.
You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment and may be required to complete background checks including criminal history and education checks.
