Overview:
Reports to:The FS reports directly to the Facilities Director.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Attend to the building and maintenance needs of the campus ensuring a clean safe efficient beautiful and functional environment for our 120000 square foot high school building and 40-acre grounds.
- Manage the prioritization and timely completion of requests made through FGRs facility ticket system.
- Conduct the following daily or seasonal duties:
- Setup and cleanup of school activities and events;
- Care and maintenance of athletic fields and grounds;
- Cleaning of the building;
- Lawn maintenance and snow removal;
- Safely and efficiently operate light grounds equipment (e.g. snow plow compact tractors commercial lawnmower etc.).
- Complete carpentry painting minor plumbing and minor electrical services.
- Assist with coordinated contracted building cleaning and grounds maintenance services.
- Support Director of Facility Operations in ensuring federal state and local building regulations are enforced.
- Support building security and safety program for staff and faculty students visitors and assets. Support the Assistant Principal with staff and faculty trainings including fire and safety drills.
- Performs other duties as directed by the Facilities Director President and Principal.
Required Skills & Experience:
- High school diploma; bachelors degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years experience in a facilities management role.
- Skilled in:
- Basic carpentry and painting;
- Basic plumbing (fixture repair & replacement required);
- Basic electrical (fixture repair & replacement required);
- HVAC and mechanical systems;
- Small motor and maintenance and repair; and
- Operating light grounds equipment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word Outlook and Excel.
- Experience in a church or educational setting preferred.
- Possess a valid State Vehicle Operators License.
- Periodic on call work and occasional evenings/weekends required.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Actively support the Mission Vision and Values of the Fr. Gabriel Richard High School and the Catholic faith.
