Your role
Saab is committed to becoming a recognized sustainability leader within our industry and Business Area Aeronautics will play a key role in this transformation. We are now looking for a driven and structured Sustainability Coordinator to support the implementation and coordination of sustainability initiatives within our operations.
In this role you will work closely with multiple functions and stakeholders across the business area. You will contribute to the development and follow-up of sustainability activities support reporting processes and help ensure that sustainability is integrated into relevant areas of the organization. You will be part of building a structured and forward-leaning approach to sustainability with a focus on collaboration communication and continuous improvement.
Areas of responsibility:
- Drive the implementation of Saabs sustainability strategy within BA Aeronautics.
- Coordinate activities and contribute to defining road maps action plans and KPIs.
- Develop and implement sustainability initiatives across the business area.
- Assist in compiling and monitoring sustainability data and reporting progress.
- Act as an ambassador and promote awareness and engagement around sustainability.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and help implement best practices.
- Provide support and guidance to colleagues on sustainability-related matters.
- Collaborate with key functions such as Environmental HR and Strategy.
You will be part of the engaged team Environment and Sustainability within BA Aeronautics reporting to the Head of Environment and Sustainability. Your base location will preferably be one of our major Aeronautics sites and some travel may be required.
Your profile
We are looking for someone who is proactive structured and communicative. You are comfortable working both independently and in collaboration with others and you enjoy driving initiatives that create real impact. You have a strong interest in sustainability and are motivated by helping to turn strategies into practical actions.
Required skills:
- University degree in a relevant field and/or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of sustainability as a key area for long-term business success.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to organize follow up and manage multiple tasks.
Desired skills:
- Experience with sustainability-related coordination reporting or data tracking.
- Knowledge of applicable laws legislations and regulations.
- Experience working in large or complex organizations.
- Understanding of Aeronautics product portfolio or business operations.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
