Job Description
Job Title: Inventory Specialist
Location: Parrish AL 35580
Shift: 1st Shift 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Job Type: Contract (with opportunity for conversion or extension)
Position Summary:
We are seeking an Inventory Specialist to support inventory operations on a contractor site (not a traditional warehouse). The ideal candidate will be highly organized detail-oriented and experienced in managing high-volume small-part inventory. This role is essential to supporting materials used in WiFi cable installation and fiber burial projects including items such as splitters construction materials vaults (for protecting electrical wiring) and utility markers.
Youll be responsible for labeling organizing and tracking materials on-site to ensure efficient operations. A mindset focused on continuous improvement and strong data organization skills is key.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify stock information and unit identification numbers
Perform inventory audits and cycle counts
Unpackage sort and stage inventory for production
Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records
Label and organize inventory on-site (contractor buildings with limited warehouse space)
Support daily operations and complete tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements:
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and standing or working outdoors for extended periods
Flexible schedule as needed
Computer proficiency; Excel skills are a plus
