Job Summary:
This role is for a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to provide surgical support in a Level II trauma center with a high volume of cases. The CST will work 3 twelve-hour shifts per week and will be required to participate in on-call responsibilities after 13 weeks of employment.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare surgical rooms and equipment.
- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures.
- Maintain sterile field and surgical instruments.
- Pass instruments and supplies to the surgical team.
- Monitor patient vital signs during surgery.
- Assist with post-operative care.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a CST.
- Experience in Ortho Lap General and Neuro surgical cases.
- Current BLS certification.
- Willingness to participate in on-call responsibilities.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with Total Joints Craniotomy and Brain/Spine surgeries.
Special Considerations:
- On-call responsibilities begin after 13 weeks of employment including weekday nights and weekend shifts. On-call schedule is not flexible.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced high-volume surgical environment.
- A Level II trauma center with 18 ORs performing 50-60 cases daily.
- No on-site parking fee.
Scheduling:
- Three 12-hour shifts per week (days).
- On-call responsibilities (weekday nights and weekend shifts) begin after 13 weeks. The on-call schedule is not flexible.
