Job Description

Position: Cost Allocation Contractor

- Review and edit Cost Allocation Plan (CAP) submissions for compliance with federal regulations
- Draft narrative edits for CAPs; DOM submits one or two CAPs per year
- Identify opportunities to increase federal funding and adjust software configurations accordingly
- Assist in cost impact calculations related to CAP updates
- Support the Comptroller in responding to inquiries from federal agencies (Cost Allocation Services CMS) regarding CAPs
- Provide annual onsite training (minimum four hours) on cost allocation principles focusing on Medicaid
- Respond to questions from DOM Senior Leadership about cost allocation and federal administrative claiming principles
- Update and optimize AlloCAP software for improved functionality and issue identification
- Update AlloCAP software to align with changes in state administrative systems (MAGIC SPAHRS Workday etc.)
- Utilize at least five years of experience in Medicaid CAP methodologies and federal administrative cost claiming
- Apply knowledge of federal regulations (including 2 CFR 200 Cost Principles and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards)
- Demonstrate experience with AlloCAP software configuration and updates
