Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble tack and weld materials to conform to specified dimensions and standards on a steel joist production line.
  • Read and interpret shop drawings blueprints and other technical documents.
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment and other fabrication machinery.
  • Inspect products for quality and accuracy.
  • Comply with all Health and Safety Environmental and Lean manufacturing policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean organized and hazard-free workspace.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 to 3 years of welding or steel/metal fabrication experience or relevant training.
  • CWB certification or ability to pass CWB welding test(s).
  • Proficiency with welding cutting and forming tools.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents diagrams and schematics.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
  • Attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Willing and able to work bi-weekly rotating shifts (day/evening) including weekends.
  • Team-oriented safety-focused and reliable.


Additional Information :

Physical Demands: This is a physically demanding role requiring the ability to regularly push pull and lift up to 50 lb stand continuously and perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods.

Work Environment:
Youll work in a steel fabrication facility with exposure to noise vibration fumes heat and moving equipment. Use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols is mandatory. This is a safety-sensitive position with direct impact on personal and team safety.

This position requires you to work bi-weekly rotating day/evening shifts.
