Job Description

The Senior Field Service Technician role is a senior role progressing from the existing Field Service Technician (FST) team or relevant experience from an external candidate. The candidate will be responsible for leading a team of FST in achieving both the clients Service Level Agreement and the organizations policy and objectives. The candidate must be a respectable people leader apart from the essential technical skillsets of a FST.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advocate for Safety at work.
  • Support organizations objectives and policies.
  • Plan and support the assigned team administratively and technically.
  • Responsible for the shift handover meeting.
  • Aside to supporting your teams day-to-day operational needs not limited to manpower resource spare-parts personal protection equipment tools reporting fault and incident management liaising with end-user etc. also support all ad-hoc projects.
  • Align with Line Manager on all operational issues.
  • Champion every available measure to control and minimize costs.
  • All other duties assigned by the Line Manager including oversea projects.

 


Qualifications :

Position Requirements

Education/Training

Minimum Diploma or equivalent technical training. Electrical/Electronic Engineering related Degree.  Computer literacy required Experience with Hydraulics and Air-conditioning Systems preferred. Candidates on Higher Nitec with relevant experience will be considered as well.

Experience

Minimum of 2-3 years experience directly involved in troubleshooting and field repair of electrical and electronic systems and equipment.

Knowledge/Skills

Individuals should possess good communications skills and have a strong orientation for customer focus and teamwork. To manage the customer in a timely manner. Possess Class 3 driving license is a must.

Supervises

To be assigned by the Line Manager.

Physical/Mental Requirements

  • Possess excellent organizational communication interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Independent self-motivated reliable and accountable individual with unreserved initiative.
  • Physically and mentally fit.
  • A positive personality with good sense of humor good sense of urgency responsible honest and ready to work together as a team is highly valued and appreciated.

Work Environment

Work environment will be at customer site. Service will typically be rendered at airports jails courthouses cruise ships or other locations as required by the Line Manager.
