Job Description
The Resident Initiatives Coordinator will do the following:
- Coordinate support services provide case management and planning for residents of the local housing authority and Section 8 participants
- Coordinate all aspects of a self-sufficiency program
- Perform liaison work between public and private local community support organizations and residents of the public housing developments and Section 8
- Create service plans for identified residents and will be responsible for finding the needed service educating the residents and providing all follow-through
- Work with outside agencies family and staff and create a group of volunteers to provide support in the areas including but not limited to parenting housekeeping resident conflict resolution socialization fulfilling lease obligations transportation health assistance and counseling.
- Assist with grant proposals and implementing new grants
Desired Education Skills and Experience:
- Need someone with experience in all of the above especially with case management
- Prefer a degree in Social Work Sociology and Psychology or other relevant degree
- Need someone who can multi-task and juggle many things at one time
- Person has to be a great communicator
- Person has to want to be in this field for the right reasons
Job resides in Chambersburg PA and the hours are generally 9:00-4:30. Some days will be different depending on activities scheduled. This is a full-time job with a full benefits package. Please apply within the link or send your resume to TONY at
