Specific Position Duties:
- Child-centred approach to instruction and building positive teacher-student relationships
- Skilled in differentiating instruction
- Knowledge of designing and implementing Individualized Program Plans (IPPs) for students with special needs
- Plan and deliver engaging instruction in core elementary subjects
- Demonstrate a familiarity with the new Alberta K-6 Program of Studies
- Apply a variety of instructional approaches to support diverse learning needs
- Experience in elementary education including early and upper elementary is considered an asset
Qualifications and General Duties:
- A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Demonstrates a student-centred philosophy committed to maximizinglearning in a safe and caring environment
- Proficiency with Google Suite and educational tools for communication and planning
- Experience and/or training in Assessment for Learning including formative and summative assessment strategies
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and foster a sense of belonging
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and reflective practice aligned with the Alberta Teaching Quality Standard
- A willingness to contribute to the schools extracurricular programs is considered an asset
Mannville School is a K-12 school located in the town of Mannville just north of Highway 16 on Secondary Highway 881. We offer a variety of programming to our students and continually seek out new opportunities for them to be engaged in. Elementary students have various opportunities to learn within the classroom as well as attend field trips and alternate environments. Our grade 7-12 students are provided opportunities in learning core subjects Career and Technology studies Career and Technology Foundations RAP Work Experience Green Certificate Students Online and Dual Credit courses. Students requiring extra support have access to Response to Intervention support as well as outside agencies and partnerships. At Mannville School we are able to provide a free breakfast light meal/snack each morning. Along with this Mannville School offers a user-pay Hot Lunch program on all school days.

Mannville is a unique Canadian community with a population of approximately 765 and is nestled in Albertas heartland. Located on the junction of Highway 16 and Secondary Highway 881. We are situated 83 kilometres west of Lloydminster and 181 kilometres east of Edmonton.
