You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThis position provides mental health and disability case management to high-risk students with psychological and social concerns in the departments of Bob Murphy Access Center Title IX students receiving services through the CARES Team and related programs under the Dean of Students Counseling and Psychological Services and other areas as assigned.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to advise and support students with disabilities particularly in crisis situations and disability management while upholding the highest standards of confidentiality and sensitivity. They should thrive in a fast-paced environment be detail-oriented and possess a thorough understanding of university infrastructure policies and procedures. A solid foundation in clinical theory and practice is essential along with experience in crisis intervention clinical supervision and the evaluation of mental health services. The candidate must exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to present effectively consult with diverse stakeholders and produce clear concise documentation. They should be adept at managing multiple priorities under pressure working both independently and collaboratively and maintaining professionalism in high-stress situations. A demonstrated commitment to equity diversity and inclusion is crucial as is the ability to engage respectfully with individuals from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records is expected along with a strong understanding of HIPAA regulations. The candidate should also be flexible with work hours capable of coordinating events and knowledgeable in emergency response protocols for students with disabilities. A consistent punctual work ethic and the ability to adapt to evolving demands are key traits for success in this role.

Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student and assist in achieving the universitys commitment to a vision of excellence.
Equivalent to a bachelors degree with upper or graduate coursework in counseling and guidance human relations or related fields and four years of professional experience in one of the student services program areas required.
Masters degree in Counseling Social Work or related field is preferred.
Professional licensure is preferred.
3 - 5 years post-masters degree-professional experience is preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience providing services to students with disabilities in higher education preferred.
Knowledge of mental health services for college students preferred.
Possession of a valid California Drivers License to drive University vehicle preferred.
Employees who are required to operate motorized vehicles and/or use their personal vehicle more than once a month on university business are required to take a mandatory Defensive Driving course and enroll in the DMV Employee Pull Notice (EPN) Program.

Salary placement is determined by the education experience and qualifications the candidate brings to the position internal equity and the hiring departments fiscal resources.
Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $6320 - $7000 per month commensurate with candidates education experience skills and training.
CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $6320 - $9014 per month.
Excellent benefits through CalPERS (health vision dental) tuition fee waiver generous vacation and sick leave and 14 paid holidays each year.
1.0 time-base 40 hours per week.
