Job Description
Floor Inspector
Full Time
Indianapolis IN
Compensation DOE: Up to $24/hr.
As a Floor Inspector you will perform in-process and final inspections of machined aerospace components on the production floor. Youll work closely with machinists and quality teams to detect defects early support First Article Inspections and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced precision manufacturing environment.
Floor Inspector Key Responsibilities:
Conduct dimensional inspections using calipers micrometers and CMMs
Verify part compliance with drawings specifications and inspection plans
Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and assist with AS9102 documentation
Identify and report nonconforming parts and collaborate on corrective actions
Maintain inspection records and traceability documentation
Monitor processes for quality and adherence to work instructions
Support audits internal quality initiatives and tool calibration processes
Floor Inspector Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
24 years of inspection experience in aerospace or precision machining
Proficient in GD&T and reading engineering drawings (ASME Y14.5)
Skilled in using precision measuring tools and CMM systems
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
