Position Summary
The Gracz lab is hiring a research technician/lab manager to work with us in the Department of Cell Biology & Physiology at UNC Chapel Hill. Our lab is interested in understanding the genetic regulation of stem and progenitor cells in the intestine and liver with a focus on the relationship between transcription factors chromatin and cellular identity. We employ a wide range of techniques including transgenic/knockout mouse models primary 3-dimensional organoid cultures genomics assays and computational biology. In addition to helping with day-to-day management of the lab the candidate will play a central role in advancing our science. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing projects assisting with training new members as the lab grows and contributing to publications as first or co-authors. Experience in cell culture and standard molecular biology techniques is preferred. Must be comfortable working with mice and managing mouse colonies. The ideal candidate will have existing knowledge about gastrointestinal biology.

Mouse handling and colony management; lab ordering and basic lab management skills; immunofluorescence and confocal microscopy; mouse tissue processing and histology
Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Experience generating organoids from gastrointestinal tissues; RT-qPCR; existing knowledge in basic biology of the liver and intestine
