Position Description:
This is an exciting time for CGI and we want you to be part of it. We are Canadas largest independent information technology services firm and we are still growing! We are expanding in Atlantic Canada and we need your skills enthusiasm and dedication as part of our team. We are seeking a highly skilled Web Developer to join our dynamic team.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Collaborate with Engineers Data Analysts Product Managers and User Experience experts to craft an experience
Collaborate on technical designs and estimates for solutions to implement the new features per Products specifications.
Work with an open inclusive team engineers who are committed to continuous improvement and quality.
Participate in code reviews. On our team we share knowledge help each other learn new things and thrive on making our code better.
Write code and comprehensive tests (unit UI e2e).
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
5 years of software development experience.
Experience building web applications with modern JavaScript frameworks - React Angular.
Experience with Java and JavaScript.
Experience with modern CSS.
Experience with git or other distributed version control systems.
Experience building and debugging apps on modern browsers (Chrome Safari and mobile browsers).
Interest in working with a team that values testing.
Passionate about building good user interfaces.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with JavaScript language features (ES6 Promises).
Strong experience in React
Experience performance tuning JavaScript/browser applications.
Experience developing single-page applications.
Champion of web standards accessibility and modern web development industry standards.
Experience with test-driven development and tools like Cypress Jest
Nice to have - Experience with any of the following: server-side JavaScript () GraphQL TypeScript.
Alternate Locations: (Hybrid minimum 2 days in office/week) Moncton or Fredericton (NB) Stratford (PE) St. Johns (NL)
