Job Description

Job title: Director of Structured Intensive Multidisciplinary Program (SIMP)



Reports to: Director of Operations



Job Purpose



The Director of Structured Intensive Multidisciplinary Program (SIMP) is responsible for the management of the overall clinical services including monitoring outcomes quality of service delivered business results determining clinical service levels resources needed enhancements providing clinical advice and leadership and mentoring to the team(s).

The Director of SIMP also provides clinical assessment and treatment in the Structured Intensive Multidisciplinary Program (SIMP). This role will be in collaboration with the entire SIMP team the SIMP Lead Physician Psychologist(s) Vocational Counselors Occupational Therapists Physical Therapists Physical Therapist Assistants Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants and other Convivio Health team members.

Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Foster a supportive collaborative team environment through clear communication shared clinical expertise and ongoing professional development.
  • Promote a high-performance culture by setting goals providing feedback and recognizing excellence.
  • Collaborate with HR to oversee recruitment onboarding mentorship and performance management of clinical staff.

Program Oversight & Quality Improvement

  • Guide the clinical team in evaluating patient outcomes refining services and implementing quality improvements that align with patient needs and organizational goals.
  • Ensure the program meets all CARF and MARF accreditation standards and remains audit-ready.
  • Lead the annual outcome data review and analysis required for accreditation and program evaluation.

Operations & Strategic Planning

  • Partner with the Director of Operations and leadership to develop and execute the annual operational plan including clinical financial and marketing objectives.
  • Monitor program metrics including referrals service utilization staffing KPIs and financial performance.
  • Oversee productivity and staffing levels to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.

Clinical Practice & External Relations

  • Provide clinical care as needed and support staff in complex case management.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external providers to support integrated care.
  • Contribute to marketing efforts and participate in new business development and community outreach opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral Degree preferred
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure by the Washington State Department of Health
  • Proven significant experience in pain management clinical leadership and program delivery
  • Ability to lead staff and ensure high quality clinic services
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions

  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with mostly minimal safety / health hazard potential
  • Sedentary walking occasional lifting (overhead waist level) from floor bending frequent near-vision use required for reading and computer work
  • Travel is required as needed to engage in relevant community / marketing events medical conferences speaking events etc.

Relevant program (SIMP) Psychologist(s) Vocational Counselor(s) OT(s) PT(s) PTA(s) COTA(s) will report to the Director while working in the program
