Job Description

State College Area School District is looking for a Long-Term Substitute Social position will be from late October 2025 to January 2026.

The social worker will be responsible for supporting students and advocating for their emotional mental and physical well-being. In addition this position will work closely with the Districts Home School Visitor in supporting and upholding the Compulsory Attendance Laws for High School age students. Duties include counseling students connecting at-risk youth with helpful resources conducting home visits to provide additional support and collaboration with school teams on School Attendance Improvement Plans (SAIP) and attending court when attendance offenses are filed.

Masters in Social Work required Licensed Social Worker preferred Home School Visitor Certification (or actively seeking) preferred. Other similar certifications will be considered.
