Job Summary:
AFS is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Product Owner to serve as the voice of our Partners in an Agile development environment. This role bridges stakeholder needs and engineering execution ensuring priorities are clear and deliverables align with mission objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison between mission partners and engineering team ensuring stakeholder needs are clearly captured and prioritized
- Own and manage the Product backlog continuously refining user stories and acceptance criteria
- Collaborate closely with Scrum Masters developers and testers to define and deliver features that meet project objectives
- Translate complex requirements into clear actionable user-stories aligned with Agile best practices
- Prioritize and make trade-off decisions to maximize value delivery within time and resource constraints
- Provide timely feedback on demos prototypes and development progress to guide iteration
- Define success criteria and measure outcomes against mission and user expectations
What youll need:
- 5 years of experience as a product owner business analyst or related Agile role
- Experience eliciting documenting and managing requirements from diverse stakeholder groups
- Experience in the use of agile principles frameworks and product management practices
- Experience working closely with software engineering teams in an agile environment
- Experience with agile tools such as JIRA Confluence or Azure DevOps
- Experience translating high-level stakeholder goals into prioritized product features and tasks
Bonus Points if you have:
- Experience working on government or mission critical programs
- Familiarity with technical concepts such as APIs data flows and system integration Certifications (POPM or CSPO preferred)
- Experience supporting DSO or cloud-native development environments
- Prior experience representing end users or stakeholders in a highly collaborative environment
- Excellent communication collaboration and decision-making skills
Security Clearance:
Must have an active TS/SCI level clearance
As required by local law Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states ofCalifornia Colorado Hawaii Illinois Maryland Minnesota New Jersey New York Washington Vermont and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to office location role skill set and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California Colorado Hawaii Illinois Maryland Minnesota New Jersey New York Washington Vermont and the District of Columbia is:
